Who we are
We have set out to fight poverty in a meaningful way. Pervasive, long-standing, deeply rooted poverty is the greatest crisis the Rochester area has ever faced. Without a new approach, it will continue to get worse.

History of

In 2013, our community received a wake-up call. A report from the Rochester Area Community Foundation and ACT Rochester showed that Rochester had some of the nation’s rates of poverty, especially child poverty.
Collective Impact in rochester
In Rochester, partners are working together in new and innovative ways to address poverty. Service providers have come together to make processes more streamlined and basic needs more accessible and affordable.
The Team
The RMAPI backbone staff keeps the entire collective coordinated, accountable, and moving forward together toward our mutual poverty-reduction goals.
